The Finance Department prepares an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) containing a discussion of the financial results of the year, along with an explanation of the factors that impacted them. Audited financial statements are included in the ACFR along with a statistical section which gives a 10-year picture of the Port of Brownsville and the surrounding area.
Budget Documents
The Port of Brownsville Operating Budget represents the forecasted financial and operating performance of the Port for the coming fiscal year. The Operating Budget is adopted annually by the Brownsville Navigation District Board of Commissioners.
2026 BND Property Tax Rates
BROWNSVILLE NAVIGATION DISTRICT OF CAMERON COUNTY, TEXAS ADOPTED A TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 5.8% AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $1.40.
